Hey, I’m Raz, and I created this site because I became addicted to the SCX24 platform and building custom rigs.

My son and I love off-roading in real life. Then in 2025 I tore my achilles tendon, which put me out of commission for quite a while. That’s when my son and I discovered the SCX24 community: what we used to do out on the trails, we could now do in the backyard. We started building our own course, then building custom rigs from the ground up. It’s truly an addiction. What started with one JLU and one Base Camp now has us at 15+ custom builds, and we spend most weekends on the rocks or at the bench tinkering away.

Like a lot of you, I tracked all of it in spreadsheets, phone notes, and screenshots buried in group chats: what parts I ran, what a build cost, which servo and gear ratio and tire compound worked on that course. I’m a nerd at heart, so I built rcbldr.com to keep it in one place. After using it myself for a few months, I realized it could help the whole community, so I started building features to open it up.

One more confession: I’ve fallen hard for 3D printing my own bodiesfor these rigs, and my son and I have started custom painting them. You’ll see more and more of those on my public builds, half the fun now is rolling something nobody else has.

It’s free, and the core always will be. No paywalls holding your builds or the catalog hostage.
Your data is yours. I don’t sell it. Ever.

Built to last. I’m in tech, so I’ve got the servers and funds to keep it running. This isn’t a weekend project I’ll walk away from.

Where we’re headed

We’re in alpha, and I’m shipping constantly. Coming soon: Rig of the Month voting, competitions across different categories, and small giveaways. The bigger vision is a part compatibility checker that gets smarter the more builds we all share. The first 100 builders to publish a build earn a founder’s badgeas a thank you for showing up early. And honestly, this is just the start. I’ve got a long list of things I want to build.
